Re: UO:Saviour nearing alpha

We now have the Saviour hardware in place. It's a dedicated quad core server on a fast network in New York.

Please test your pings and post in our announcement thread here!

Thanks!

Some kind of domain mix up...

they had to move to a .com domain.

Seems a bit sparse.

Re: UO:Saviour nearing alpha

Weaver fell off the face of the planet (again) and the other coders Kit had working with him have largely disappeared. Kit's also had some real life stuff going on that put development on hold for a while.

From what i understand he's about to release Alpha - so if anyone wants in, i'd suggest you go post on their new forums (Weaver owned the old URL and with his disappearance and not telling anyone what the hell he's doing, Kit was forced to move everything)

Don't send me any PMs over there as i've had to bail on the project.

That does not give me a whole lot of confidence for the future of the server. Imean why invest time when the server is just going to go poof.....

Re: UO:Saviour nearing alpha

I'm no longer on staff so take what i say with a grain of salt, but, Kit is actually a pretty upstanding guy. He's been paying for the server for some time even though it's been sitting idle for a while now.

He's said numerous times that he will see this project up and running and i'm inclined to believe him (People warned me about Weaver but i was stupid and gave him the benefit of the doubt. Decent guy but completely unreliable in a leadership position)

Besides, everyone knows the best time on a server is when it first starts up and everyone is scrapping to get up and running. It's free. IMO you have little to lose by giving it a go.
