Hunger strike

I'm going on a hunger strike, by god! Like Ghandi! Well, ok, not quite like Ghandi. He had a reason, you see, and I don't.

As an exercise in willpower, I decided this morning that nothing was going to pass my lips but water until next Tuesday. Quite frankly, I'm just curious if I can do it. I also don't think I know what real hunger feels like (like 99% of us), so I should learn some things on the way.

I also figured that if I'm going to be miserable then I might as well be as miserable as possible, so there will be no tobacco use during this week. Damn, I guess that means I'm quitting. C'est la vie.

It has been 14 hours so far and this pretty much sucks. 154 to go.

Sounds awesome. I think you should update here as often as possible as I can imagine after 24 hrs the mood swings should be pretty impressive..

Oh, and I put $5 on you not making it. We should do a pool regarding what day he eats.

He'll eat the first time he walks by a fast food place and smells it.

I have done it. Not too difficult after the first day or two. The hunger cravings are worst after 24-48 hours. I actually made it like 6 days and 12 hours. I was getting light headed and dizzy so I decided to eat a small meal. But the whole feeling of "being hungry" left me after 48 hours. After that is was just breaking the habit of opening the fridge.

I last ate at 8 am yesterday so this is 30th hour...

THIRTY HOUR UPDATE: HUNGER STILL SUCKS

It's actually not that bad. The absolute worst time was yesterday at the time when I normally eat. I could feel my stomach emptying itself of nothing, growling, mouth started to water... and nothing. Christ, just thinking about it has got it growling again. Actually, I've noticed that my mouth is watering all the time, don't know what that's all about. Compared to food, I crave the tobacco much more. When I get bored they both hit me hard so I have to stay busy. I've been using the hell out of my Netflix =/

The temptations have been hard. When they cooked dinner yesterday, I thought I was going to die. I think Ards is right, if I walked past a Hardees or something I would walk away from it 20lbs heavier. That's why I won't be walking past any fast food joints, this week. I think the hardest has to be the fruit. Oh and peanuts. They're so small, they have so few calories, it would be like eating nothing! It's not eating nothing, though, so I can't, even though it would certainly get rid of that pang in the gut. That fucking banana: so bright, so ripe, so delicious .. It's the easily justifiable that is the hardest, no doubt about it.
